hi, i have recently lost my devon rex cat of 6 years, the vet said she had a diaphragmatic hernia. is this common in the breed as we would love to get another one later on. i am just a bit worried about it happening again. we are all so devastated about it, the house is so empty and qiuet. she was a real part of the family and part of our everyday lives. it is very hard not having her here, even her 16 year old burmese companion misses her terribly. we bought her body home and buried her under the gazebo and i know that no wants to move from here because she is there. they are such a unique breed, i used to breed siamese cats and burmese, but the devon rex personality is second to none.
even though she would claw our feet when you had socks on and climb up the curtains and sharpen her claws on everything, i would not trade those moments for anything. anyway if you have any information on the breed it would be much appreciated. also i was told she was a very rare colour, she was a blue grey,, is that true.
anyway anything you could pass on would be greatly appreciated.
