FLEAS!

Flea season is in full swing right now and I was wondering if you have found anything besides prescription topical flea treatments or pills that works for fleas? I have heard that Dawn dish soap works well as a bathing treatment to kill live fleas, any other "home remedies" or ideas? I am not fond of using topical treatments on my pets but this year has just been the worst for fleas and I dont want to see my cats OR dogs suffer with the itchy bites and might have to go get some Advantage. Any tips would be appreciated!

  • Hi Dawn
I am not too keen on alot of the chemicals either but sometimes you have to use them. I would advise the best top spot on a sheer coated devon is Revolution as it goes into the skin and does not rely so much on coat. I found some of the other too strong and also a waste of money. I have had a devon girl here have a nasty reaction to advocate top spot which has put me off abit. They say if you rub fresh Thyme onto them this is a natural remedy but I cannot say I have tested it properly.Smile.gif
