Fur balls and Devons

My 12yo Devon, Baggins, is very fluffy and an obsessive cleaner. I recently had to take him to the vet as he was coughing and unable to bring up the fur balls. We gave him some cat lax over a few days and then twice a week for a few weeks and he seems to have recovered. Does anyone have tips for preventing fur balls in our senior cats? It seems to bother him more now he is older.ThanksLeonie

  • I give one of mine (not a devon) Catlax regularly - once or twice a week depending on the season

  • Thanks Joy. I gave him some cat lax this morning because he was coughing and he had kindly left me a lovely present on the tiles of fur balls and bile. Better out than in as my Mum would say. I will keep up the twice a week routine while he's moulting.
