  • Hi Sylvia,
Go to my page and click in Carol Murfield in my group of friends. I believe she adopted from Kurakats....and if that is the breeder I am thinking if, she is VERY happy. Carol is really nice and will definitely give you any information you are looking for. :)
Depending in distance you are looking to travel, try Tina Chittuck in Iowa (Everafter Devons).

  • Tina is also a member here. Her profile page does not have very much information though.

  • Hi Sylvia!  We live in Va Beach and are picking up 2 sweet male Devons Saturday from Kurakats!  Lisa and Robert Seay are wonderful to work with.  They take great care raising these little loves:)  They even connected me with another family who lives right around the corner from me and they confirmed how wonderful Lisa & Robert are to work with and how happy they are with their little girl Devon. We have a 2 year old male devon as well, who we love dearly, but he was from a different breeder in NC that I would NOT recommend.  I do not want to publish the name on this forum but if you research breeders in NC you will undoubtedly come across it as there have been several complaints against them for selling sick kittens with FIP etc!!!  Stick with Robert and Lisa of Kurakats, you will not be disappointed!  If you contact them, feel free to mention our chatSmile.gif

  • Keep us posted on how things go. :)

(Sorry for the spelling errors, I was typing from my phone when I first replied).

  • Joe -- It's good that you're posting here because when you google "Kurakats FIP," someone deleted the complaint posts and you get redirected. That's disturbing.

  • Another post has also been removed here on Devon Zone after a complaint that it contained slander.

Please keep personal grievances between Breeder's and pet owners away from Devon Zone.

    Thank you.

  • May I make one comment re FIP.  It is not a disease that discriminates.  If you read information it should state that it is a mutation of the corona virus.  If checked I would assume many cats carry the coronia virus & it is a mutation of this virus that causes FIP.  There are different schools of thought as to what causes the mutation, some saying it MAY be hereditary, whilst more commonly it is thought to be caused by stress.  Most breeders are devastated when they have a kitten with this disease, so please don't blame the breeder, as it is not necessarily their fault.  The breeders I know that have had a kitten with this disease don't usually perform that mating again, just in case.

  • That is true Joy, thanks for posting.

Unfortunately the link I posted to the information on FIP was in the topic that was removed so I will post it here again.

  • Thanks for the link Nicole.
