Vocal Devon's!

How vocal are your Devon's? My Montague is incredibly vocal and loves announcing things. He is almost six months old and I'm finding he loves being vocal the more he grows up.The strangest thing he does is loudly announcing that he needs to use his litterbox to us!Do your Devon's tell you funny things? Or are just plain vocal all the time?

  • Stanley is also almost 6 months old and loves to yowl and meow at the top of his voice too. He tells us when he wants to play, eat, cuddle and specially when he's about to use the litter box (-:
  • My 8 month old girl Poppy blesses me everytime I sneeze. If she's within ear shot when I sneeze, even if she's asleep she will let out a meow. She doesn't do this with all sounds, just sneezes.

  • That is so funny Kayla! :)

  • Three year old Bes is very vocal. Will quite happily sit there and have a conversation with you. 4 year old Sammy has been with us nearly three months is starting to find his feet. Was very quiet at first, but now he is settling, he has lots to stay. Loves telling us his life story and any day to day issues he has encountered.

  • All mine are chatterboxes & love to answer with the prmm & chirrup or a meow & often start the conversation. Very funny listening to them chatter to each other.

  • My Ysabell has a funny meow that we call her "creaky old lady voice". She makes all the motions but what comes out is a raspy sound, like she's been on the bourbons and ciggies all night. There is nothing wrong with her, just her funny voice. Her brother, Mort, hums to himself when in the litter tray. No secret what he's up to. And means I can clean up straight away.
  • Sammy has the funniest groan when you lift him up, sounds like and old man getting out of a chair....

  • Monkey makes his Monkey noses while running through the house and makes and umph noise when he lands. Minnie makes her little mousey noises when she's hungry.
  • That sounds hilarious!Grin.gif

  • My two cats talk all the time, they are quiet only when asleep. There's always a reason like: I'm awake, I'm going to the toilet, I've finished using the toilet, I want to eat, I'm bored, I want to play, take me on your lap, you have to pet me, stop typing on the laptop, leave me alone etc.The loudest cries appear after I come back home from work, like: "Where have you been so long? I'm huuuungry!" I am trying to get used to all the meowing, but sometimes I've got enough. I try ignoring the meows sometimes but it doesn't work. Do you know how to make the cat stop meowing so much, especially in the very early morning when I still want some more sleep?
